In contrast to his violent pursuit of Ramos and Compean, this has to be the ultimate reveal. We are being governed by cosmopolitan forces beant on inducing rule BY law.I am not making the argument that a President cannot challenge and disagree with opinions. But, he has presided over more than 150 executions when he was Gov of Texas. Now he has openly decided to smite the victims and the families of the victims for the sake of an illgeal alien?!? One who murdered and raped these folk?!?!
This is the behavior of tyrants. I am not sure about others but I consider this utter madness, purely vindictive behavior. I cannot express how utterly dispicable it is to disgard the crime committed, especially after having spent some much of his time pretending to be tough on criminals and supportive of capitol punishment! My friends, this is proof positive that someone else is running our country and it isn’t any of the established branches. I really can’t express in words how amazingly destructive this is.
This IS NOT a case about punishment of behavior, but the criminal is simply saying he suffered from supposedly not being able to confer with the Mexican consulate. Bush wants to “decriminalize” the participation and meddling in American affairs by Mexican consulates. He wants to set precident in favor of Mexican government officials, even at the cost of the victims families! This crosses every line and I will wager that the decision made by the Supreme Court will have much more weight than they realize. If they rule in favor of this murderer, Bush will have driven a nail in our coffin that we will not be able to pluck out.
This tyrant and traitor has to be stopped!
Here is a copy of the Supreme Court Case:
http://www.debevoise.com/publications/pdf/Medellin2007CertPetition.pdfBy the way a Federal Appeals Court ruled that this treaty Bush is citing DOES NOT give individual prisoners cause of action. They found that it is only applicable to sovereign nations.
Court Decision pdf
Most importantly a Texas court ruled Bush “exceeded his constitutional authority” by mandating that US courts follow a March 2005 International Court of Justice (ICJ) decision giving individuals rights under the Vienna Convention and saying that the US was obligated to grant review and reconsideration of their convictions and sentences to the ICJ.
